Hi, I’m Natali Afsar, a Brussels-based photographer with ArmenIan roots. I was born in Istanbul and spent my childhood in my dad’s photography studio there, surrounded by cameras. After working for 8 years as a lawyer, I turned my passion for photography into a career.
I find inspiration in many things, but I feel most inspired when I’m by the sea. It brings back memories of childhood summers along the Aegean coast. I have some amazing photos from that time captured on film by my dad, and that’s one of the reasons why I’m so drawn to shooting on 35mm. It allows me to recreate that same warm, nostalgic feel in my work.
