Growing up on the central coast of California, much of my work was influenced by my early years of exploration. I was always drawn to sunsets over the ocean or the summer-dry rolling hills in my backyard, and I think that’s evident today as my photos are often characterized by warm, vibrant palettes.
There’s no specific subject I feel tied to, although in recent years, my photos have reflected my time living in San Francisco, surrounded by Victorian architecture and open spaces nearby.
I feel one of the most important things to know about my photography is that the majority of my photos are shot on film. While I believe film offers the benefit of accurate and nostalgic color representation, my affinity for it lies in the way it grounds me - ensuring that I take care every time I click the shutter.
